#VoteLikeAMadre is a movement spearheaded by some of the most recognizable moms from Latino background in pop culture and across music, television, film and business—including Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Salma Hayek, Zoe Saldana, Jessica Alba, Jordana Brewster, Joy Huerta, and Desi Perkins, to name a few.

The goal: Have Latina moms, regardless of their political views, pinky promise their kids they’ll get out to vote on or before November 3rd, prioritizing candidates that support climate action. And every mom knows a pinky promise is an unbreakable promise.

"Max and Emme are my world. When I think about what their lives will be like if we ignore the significant impact climate change is having on our planet, it breaks my heart. We need to do something about it and take action NOW. That’s why I’m pinky promising to #VoteLikeAMadre for candidates who believe in science and will work to protect the environment. All the madres out there, will you join me?" - Jennifer Lopez

The Challenge:

For the first time this election, Latinos are the largest minority group in the country, and they also happen to be the most concerned about climate change. In particular, Latina moms are 27% more concerned than the average American; and yet 7 in 10 have never been contacted to do something about it. But only 34% of eligible moms are registered to vote, and they’re less likely to do it.

The movement hopes to energize Latino moms and remind them that the fight for their kids’ futures is on and that they can actually make a big difference.
