Overview
The Community is seeking a highly conceptual Senior Art Director to join our creative team in either Miami or New York. Under the supervision of and in close partnership with the Executive Creative Director and broader integrated team, this role will help develop breakthrough creative ideas and bring campaigns to life across multiple touchpoints for one of the agency’s largest clients. This role is ideal for a visually driven creative thinker with strong conceptual skills, elevated design sensibility, and experience shaping culturally relevant campaigns from idea through execution. The Senior Art Director will collaborate closely with strategists, copywriters, account teams, and production partners to create impactful work that resonates with audiences and pushes brands forward.
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in an advertising agency or creative environment in an Art Direction role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and exceptional visual execution across multiple media channels.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and strong design/presentation skills.
- Experience developing integrated campaigns across digital, social, experiential, retail, print, and video.
- Ability to communicate visual concepts clearly to internal teams, clients, and production partners.
- Comfortable participating in client-facing meetings and presentations.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to operate with limited oversight.
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Design, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Proven ability to develop culturally resonant creative that authentically connects with Black/African American audiences.
- Understanding of how AI can be applied within modern creative workflows, with demonstrated hands-on use of AI tools in the development and execution of creative work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute visually compelling concepts across integrated campaigns and brand initiatives.
- Partner with copywriters, strategists, account teams, and creative leadership to shape and evolve campaign ideas.
- Translate strategic insights into innovative visual storytelling across digital, social, print, OOH, retail, experiential, and video content.
- Create and present layouts, mood boards, visual systems, logos, idea videos, and campaign look-and-feel explorations.
- Participate in brainstorms, creative brief development, and campaign ideation sessions.
- Present work internally and support client presentations as needed.
- Collaborate with production, editors, photographers, illustrators, and external vendors to ensure high-quality execution of creative vision.
- Attend shoots, edits, and on-site productions when needed.
- Manage multiple projects and timelines with strong attention to detail.
- Mentor and support junior creative team members.
- Stay informed on cultural, design, technology, and industry trends.
Compensation Range: $81,225.00 - $129,987.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
